Playlists While writing….

For every script I write, as soon as I know what story I’m going to tell, I create a music playlist. Obviously, for every story it’s different. For instance, while writing “LIONS”, I listened to a great deal of Bruce Springsteen, Bob Seger, Journey, and the Ohio based ┬áMichael Stanley band, and other “Midwestern” rockers from the 70’s and 80’s. Most of what I listen to when I write is dictated by what the lead characters journey is. For “LIONS”, it was this guy that grew up in the 70’s, listening to these bands. I’m currently doing the same for my new play and all I can say is that at this time, there is a lot of Rolling Stones, Lou Reed and Warren Zevon. I’ll keep you posted…
